The goal of abolishing the white race is on its face so desirable that some may find it hard to believe that it could incur any opposition other than from committed white supremacists. — Noel Ignatiev, author, 2002, Harvard Magazine

Dan Crenshaw and Mike Pompeo push back against Woke
On Monday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gently pushed back on changing American demographics in one of his final Tweets before leaving office.
From Business Insider, Jan. 20:
On his last full day as the top US diplomat and just one day after Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo deemed multiculturalism to be un-American.
“Woke-ism, multiculturalism, all the -isms — they’re not who America is. They distort our glorious founding and what this country is all about. Our enemies stoke these divisions because they know they make us weaker,” Pompeo said in a tweet.
Texas Congressman stands up for White Rights
Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw Re-Tweeted Pompeo. As Fox News reports, Crenshaw got into a spat with the NY Times over their attacks on Pompeo.
Crenshaw continued: “NYT needs to stop pretending it is anything other than a DNC mouthpiece. And not even a very good one.”
The Texas congressman went on to praise comments Pompeo made at a speech last week during which the secretary of state decried “woke-ism, multiculturalism, all the -isms” as anti-American, sparking outrage among some left-leaning politicians and pundits on Tuesday.
Both Pompeo, a US Navy veteran and Crenshaw, a Navy Seal vet, have come under increasing fire from far left-wing pundits and cable news talking heads, h/t complex.com.
Update!
In a note of irony, Congressman Crenshaw has been on the receiving end of criticism from members of the far right.
From the NY Post, 2022,
Rep. Dan Crenshaw and staff confronted by Proud Boys, far right activists at Texas GOP convention
Rep. Dan Crenshaw and his staff were accosted and forcefully challenged by far-right provocateurs including members of the Proud Boys at the Republican Party of Texas Convention Saturday.
The Texas Republican was berated as “Eyepatch McCain” and “a globalist RINO [Republican in name only]” by conspiracy theorist podcast host Alex Stein, who jostled with members of Crenshaw’s entourage at a Houston convention center, footage posted by Stein and others showed.
As other people followed the group and shouted things like “You sold us out” and “You’re a traitor,” Stein was involved in a skirmish with Crenshaw’s team. A man in a tan suit was pushed against a wall during the incident and stumbled backwards.
Additionally, back home in his district, Crenshaw has received fire from constituents angry over the Epstein files.
Daily Beast, June 2025,
Online footage from the Thursday meet at a community center in Houston shows irate constituents bellowing at Texas Rep. Crenshaw to “release the files” and “answer our questions” about the late financier’s crimes.
“We don’t want to hear your propaganda!” shouted one attendee.
